Flair x THE FENI PROJECT
How registration and selection will work
In order to qualify for this contest, you must be:
Domiciled in Goa
Working actively as a bartender either at an establishment or as a freelancer
Be experienced in flair
Be a feni fanatic who loves the spirit and knows how to work with it to create top-notch cocktails

Step 1:
You will be directed to a form where you will need to fill out your basic details. You will also be asked to upload a video, so please have this recorded and ready before you move forward.
Rules for this video:
Maximum length: 1 minute
Introduction: 15 seconds about yourself and where you work currently
Showcase: 45 seconds to show us your best flair moves
This video must be unedited and taken from your camera phone - no cuts, no special effects, just your raw talent visible in raw footage

Step 2:
The jury will review all entries and select 12 participants who will perform live at Serendipity Arts Festival.
The jury is being finalized, and will consist of 3-4 leading members of the F&B community.
Step 3:
If you are shortlisted, the jury will contact you by 03rd December 2024 and invite you for an in-person briefing session. During this briefing session, you will be provided with a 180ml sample of The Feni Project for tasting and for you to do your homework on creating cocktails that you will make on the day of the event.
Once you have your recipes ready, you will need to provide a list of ingredients for the organisers to procure in time for the event. This list must be shared by 5th December 2024. Should you choose to make any ingredients of your own / procure something specific on your own, this must be discussed with the organisers.

Event Programme
Introductions
You will be introduced on stage by the MC along with jury members.
Qualifier Showtime
Each of the 12 participants will have 3 minutes to wow the audience. You will be required to showcase both Exhibition Flair and Working Flair:
Exhibition flair: pure theatre with any (mixology-related) objects of your choice. You can juggle, dance, blow fire, i.e. do whatever you wish to get the maximum points from the jury
Working flair: create a feni-based cocktail using flair techniques
Jury Deliberation
Cocktails would have already been tasted while fresh, but the jury will take this time to discuss and debate flair skills and arrive at the top 6 participants who will move into the final round.
Be prepared to answer questions on Feni and The Feni Project, so do your homework! We will also involve the audience to get their opinions, so keep that in mind and find ways to engage them during your performance.
Final Showtime
The top 6 participants will have 4 minutes each to create ONE masterpiece cocktail using flair techniques, to wow the jury.
This cocktail will be created on the spot using ingredients from a mystery box that the organisers will provide.
Jury Deliberation
As before, the cocktails would have already been tasted while fresh, but the jury will take this time to discuss and debate flair skills and arrive at the winners.
Awards and Closing
The jury will present the awards to the participants in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively, and invite them to say a few words.
